Mrs. Cindy Yeung Muglia (楊善怡) is the School Counselor. for PRISMS. She has a strong commitment and desire to provide students with advising, counseling and coaching that emphasizes the student’s academic, intellectual, social and emotional development, while maintaining cultural sensitivity for the diverse needs of students, their families, PRISMS and the communities in which they live. Mrs. Muglia currently holds a Master of Education (Ed.M.) degree from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey for Counseling Psychology, with state certification in School Counseling. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Economics from New York University. Mrs. Muglia began her mentoring and coaching experience as a Commuter Assistant at NYU in 2008, assisting first-year off-campus students of various boroughs with transitional issues and finding a sense of belonging in the university. She has served as an academic coach and Peer Mentor program coordinator at the federal TriO, grant aid program, Student Support Services at Rutgers-New Brunswick, where she has advised and counseled undergraduate first-generation and low-income college students and facilitated psychoeducational workshops and weekly welness modules.
