David Hauser teaches biology and supervises student research in the fields of molecular biology and ecology. He is trained as an evolutionary biologist and has done field work in the outback of Australia, Baja California, and the desert southwest of the US. He has been bitten by snakes and chased by rhinos, all in the name of science!
Prior to coming to PRISMS, he held teaching positions at The Hun School of Princeton and The Pennington School (where he was Chair of the Science Department). He received his B.S. in Biology from San Diego State University, a Masters in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania, and his Ph.D from Cardiff University in the UK. He spent nearly 20 years working in clinical research and biotechnology before turning to teaching. He lives on an organic farm in Lambertville.
