Chemistry Teacher, PRISMS

Job Duties

Teach Chemistry course in our STEM-based private high school. Create lesson plans, incorporate advanced learning and teaching methodologies. Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts to meet students' need and deliver lectures to students and provide students opportunities to observe issues and question/challenge the existing theories in Chemistry. Actively supervise students in the classroom and laboratory. Help students preparing for standardized testing, graduation and college entrance exams in Chemistry. Prepare and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students' progress and maintain records of student's learning progress and growth. Facilitate frequent and effective home-school communication with parents. Collaborate with other teachers to address teaching and research issues resulting from different culture and background of students. Guide students doing research in the lab and coach the chemistry competition team.

Job Requirement

At least a master degree in Chemistry or foreign equivalent; 2 years of working experience as a high school Chemistry course teacher.
