Joe Bay was born in New Jersey to human parents under entirely ordinary circumstances. After graduating from Rutgers on the banks of the old Raritan with a BA in Biology, he moved to California, where he attended Stanford University (go Cardinal), obtaining a PhD in Cancer Biology. He then performed research in gynecologic oncology at Stanford, identifying pathways essential to the development of cervical cancer, and then worked for Pfizer, developing methods for the production of antibody-drug conjugates, a targeted therapy for various cancers. He has since taught science to a wide variety of students in New Jersey, ranging from middle school to healthcare professionals, and is now teaching AP Biology and Molecular Biology classes at PRISMS, where he intends to assist and inspire the next generation of innovators.
