PRISMS Students Receive Multiple Regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

This year, eleven PRISMS students were recognized at the regional level for their outstanding art and writing. Taven C., Tyler F., Jonathan H., David H., Benjamin L., Jessie W., Cynthia Y., Coco Z., Graciela Z., Ted Z., and Tony Z. submitted a wide range of work, from photography, digital arts, painting to poems, memoirs, short stories, and critical essays. The students earned a total of 35 awards. The gold key winners-Tyler F. (humor), Jonathan H. (photography), David H. (digital art), Jessie W. (flash fiction), Graciela Z. (dramatic script and mixed media), and Tony Z. (photography)-will be automatically considered for national awards this summer. The annual Scholastic Art & Writing Award program is the nation's longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens.
