From Mooncakes to Haunted Hallways: A Festive Fall on Campus

As the winter holidays approach, PRISMS looks back on a fall full of student life events, including three major cultural celebrations. Students enjoyed mooncakes and calligraphy lessons led by our Mandarin classes during the millennia-old Mid-Autumn Festival. To mark Diwali, the annual festival of lights, students painted oil lamps and celebrated with fireworks after dark. October closed with a fantastic week of Halloween fun, including our "Haunted Hallways" tradition, decoration of the Main Hall, and a costume contest that featured everything from Louvre thieves and the Duolingo owl to Gandalf and Hello Kitty.
